Steps to Install a Client

IMPORTANT

Before installing the client, it is important that previous configurations have been made in the OLT, configurations such as traffic tables, profiles, DBA, etc.

1Connect the ONUs

After having made the configurations in the OLT and confirmed the pon ports, uplink port, and vlan, you can start connecting the ONUs to the service pon ports to perform the authorization.

Note

When connecting the ONU to the PON port, it is important to do so using an attenuator or a splitter as connecting the ONU directly can cause equipment failures.

2Authorize ONU

Enter the AdminOLT panel and go to the ONU section -> Not Authorized, if the ONU is connected to the port correctly, it will appear ready to Authorize.

Note

If you are using OLT Vsol Gpon or Epon, it is important to validate if you have the AutoLeard configuration as if the option is active the ONUs will not appear in the list of ONUs not authorized, we just have to import them into the system.

3Follow steps for Authorization.

4WAN IP Configuration

This option is available for Onus of the Huawei, ZTE and Vsol brands in certain versions of OLT and ONU Firmware.

WAN IP Configuration ZTE (AdminOLT)

WAN IP Configuration VSOL (AdminOLT)

WAN IP Configuration VSOL EPON (AdminOLT)

5Validate that the ONU has Internet service

You can connect to an Ethernet port on the ONU or connect to the ONU's WI-FI network and finally perform a network test.
